Rivera's 21 Not Enough As Highlanders Fall 75-60 At No. 22 Kansas

Playing their fourth ranked opponent in as many games, the UC Riverside women's basketball team faced off at No. 22 ranked Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse on Sunday afternoon, but could not pull off the upset as the Jayhawks won 75-60. The Highlanders (2-7) current four-game losing skid is the longest since the 2008-09 squad lost four in a row from Dec. 14-28.

Pepperdine Defeats Gauchos

The UC Santa Barbara women's basketball team could handle Pepperdine's shooters just fine. It was the defensive press that the Waves employed that doomed the Gauchos on Sunday afternoon at the Thunderdome. Pepperdine won, 56-49, despite shooting just 22% from the floor.
