Cal State Northridge forward Devin Deldo's (Valencia, Calif./Hart HS) career-best match came at a perfect time for the Matadors last weekend, netting him Big West Player of the Week accolades.

Needing a win to secure a Big West Tournament berth, the senior’s two goals in a 3-0 road win over UC Irvine propelled CSUN into the conference tourney for the first time.

His first goal, which proved to be the game-winner, was scored in the third minute, then his second tally came just eight minutes later to give Cal State Northridge added insurance.

The two goals marked the first multi-goal outing of his career, were his first two of the 2009 season and came on his only two shots of the match.
