Long Beach State's Ally Wade locked in her first Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor of the season, for the week ending November 22.
The Yorba Linda, Calif., began the week with a nine-point, eight-rebound performance against Loyola Marymount. She bested that effort a few days later at New Mexico State. Versus the Aggies, Wade recorded 16 points and six boards in 34 minutes of play.
Wade saved her best performance for last as her offensive prowess guided the 49ers to a convincing 79-56 win over Texas-Pan American. The senior forward netted a season and game-high 22 points while pulling down seven boards. Wade also drained four three-pointers for the second straight contest.
For the week, Wade averaged 15.7 points and 7.0 rebounds per outing and shot .500 from the field.
Others nominated: Rachel Clancy (Cal Poly), Megan Richardson (Cal State Fullerton), Rebecca Maessen (UC Irvine).
