UC Irvine forward Amani Walker (San Diego, Calif./Francis Parker HS) claimed his second Big West men's soccer weekly honor after a breakout offensive week for the Anteaters.
The junior netted three goals and added an assist in UCI's 4-1 road victory over Cal State Fullerton, helping the club strengthen its league tournament position heading into the home stretch of the regular season.
Walker's seven points in the match against the Titans put him in a tie for second in single-game points in Big West history, while tying him for the best single-match effort in the UCI record books. It was also the 23rd hat trick in league history.
Walker also had a match-high three shots on goal in UC Irvine's double overtime home loss to league-leading UC Santa Barbara.
Others nominated: Chris Gaschen, Cal Poly; Mattias Bonvehi, Cal State Northridge; Chris Leer, UC Davis, Michael Boxall, UC Santa Barbara
