Megan Richardson led the Titans in scoring this past weekend, helping Cal State Fullerton to its first 2-0 start since the 1996-97 season and earning her Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week accolades, for the week ending Nov. 15.
The sophomore standout from Manhattan Beach, Calif., opened her second season in a Titan uniform by scoring a career-high 29 points in 25 minutes against San Jose State. Richardson scored nine of the team's final 12 points as Cal State Fullerton escaped with the two-point win. Her previous high was 22 points against Cal State Bakersfield in January of last year.
Two days later, Richardson scored a game-high 16 points in a more balanced Titans scoring effort, hitting 7-of-15 from the floor while adding five assists in 30 minutes as the Titans routed Sacramento State, 90-68.
