Cal Poly goalkeeper Patrick McLain was a force in net for the Mustangs last weekend, earning him Big West Player of the Week accolades.
The junior started his week with a shutout in Cal Poly's 1-0 overtime road win over Cal State Fullerton. He posted five saves in the contest, a game in which the Mustangs were reduced to 10 players for the final 14 minutes of the match. McLain followed up that effort with four-save shutout in Cal Poly's 1-0 home win over UC Davis. The two clean slates marked the first two shutouts for him this season.
In all, McLain has posted a shutout streak of 196:54 over his last three appearances.
