UC Irvine forward Spencer Thompson (Ahwatukee, Ariz./Mountain Pointe HS) came up with some clutch performances during the week on the way to his first career Big West Player of the Week honor.

The sophomore netted a pair of game-winning goals for the Anteaters, helping the club go 2-0-1 in a busy week of action. His first game-clincher came in the 85th minute against Cleveland State Monday in the finale of the UC Irvine College Classic. He followed that up with a strike in the 79th minute against Saint Mary’s Sunday that proved to be the deciding tally.

Thompson's efforts against the Gaels netted UCI the team title at the Saint Mary’s College Classic and placed him on the All-Tournament team.

Also Nominated: Cameron Sims, Cal State Northridge; Dylan Curtis, UC Davis; Chris Pontius, UC Santa Barbara
