UC Santa Barbara goalkeeper Kris Minton (Lake Forest, Calif./El Toro HS) made his second career start a memorable one as he kept #10 Indiana at bay in a big win for UCSB.

The freshman stopped four of the five Hoosier shots on goal, coming within two minutes of his first career shutout. Minton was under pressure all day as Indiana took 21 shots, but was more than up to the task.

Minton's most impressive save came in the first half when he got a leg on a screaming shot from Indiana star forward Will Bruin to keep the Hoosiers off the board.

Also Nominated: David Zamora, Cal Poly; Ahmad Hatifie, UC Davis; Brett Berman, UC Irvine
