Long Beach State's
Lindsay Bullock (Manhattan Beach, Calif./Mira Costa HS) played a role in half of the six goals the 49ers scored over two games, earning the sophomore midfielder Big West Women's Soccer Player of the Week accolades.
The 49ers posted a win and a tie at home against two strong western region opponents in Brigham Young and Oregon. In Thursday's 3-0 win versus BYU, Bullock provided the game-winning assist as she set up LBSU's first goal on a header to teammate Kristen Kiefer. She scored an insurance goal later in the match to give the 49ers an insurmountable lead.
Bullock converted a penalty kick to give the 49ers a 2-1 lead in an eventual 3-3 double overtime tie to Oregon on Sunday. It was her team-leading fourth goal of the year.
For the week, Bullock scored two goals and added an assist while playing all 200 minutes in the midfield against the Cougars and Ducks.
