Cal State Fullerton senior defender Jenae Gibbens (San Diego, Calif./San Diego State) claimed Big West Women's Soccer Player of the Week honors for being named Most Valuable Player of the 14th annual California Invitational, helping the Titans to the team title.

Gibbens scored the game-winning goal in overtime as the Titans slipped past host No. 15 California, 3-2, in the tournament opener on Friday.  Her strike completed a comeback from a two goal deficit in the match.
   
In CSF's 2-0 victory on Sunday against Saint Mary's, Gibbens placed two shots on frame while also spearheading a stingy Titan defense that limited the Gaels to just two shots on goal.  It was the second shutout of the year for Fullerton.
