UC Davis forward Quincy Amarikwa (Bakersfield, Calif./Liberty HS) was a key element to the Aggie attack over the weekend on his way to the first Big West Player of the Week award of the new season.

The senior kicked his season off with a two-goal effort against Long Island, putting both of his tallies on the board in four minutes. Two days later, his deft strike in the 88th minute propelled UC Davis to a 1-0 win over Cal State Bakersfield and the Copa de Causeway Classico title.

Amarikwa was named All-Tournament for his efforts and his three goals in the first weekend of play is just two less than his total from the 2007 season.
