It’s billed as one of the biggest series in all of college baseball this season, and the battle will be intense when the Cal State Fullerton Titans head to Irvine to take on the Anteaters this weekend, beginning on Friday, April 4 at 6:15 p.m. PST.  Cal State Fullerton head coach Dave Serrano returns to the field where he built his first program, taking the Anteaters to the College World Series in just his third year at the helm of his own program in 2007, defeating the Titans in an epic 5-hour, 45-minute affair in Omaha.  Serrano then parted ways with the Anteaters on September 7, 2007 to take the reins of the program he got his coaching start with, leaving behind a wealth of talent that has taken the 2008 Anteater program to a ranking as high as No. 3 in the nation.  Now these two programs meet for the first time since the coaching change, competing not only for national recognition, but also for position in the Big West Conference championship race.
