Songer Nearly Perfect in UCR’s Series Win over Pacific
UC Riverside pitcher Christin Songer (Orangevale, Calif./Bella Vista HS) was nearly untouchable for the Highlanders over the weekend against Pacific, netting her Big West Pitcher of the Week accolades.

She followed that with another dominating performance in the finale of the series. She went the distance and allowed just five hits and one walk while striking out five.
For the week, Songer went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 14.0 innings of work. She allowed eight hits, three walks and struck out 15. In her two combined starts, she faced just 12 batters over the minimum and is now 3-0 with a 2.50 ERA in conference play.
