Career-Best Performance Earns UC Riverside's Lott Weekly Honors

An explosive 27-point performance that led to a double-double on the night, earned UC Riverside's Tainoisouti Lott Big West Player of the Week honors, for the week ending Feb. 3. This is Lott’s first honor of her three-year career.

In Thursday's game against UC Santa Barbara, Lott fired a career-best 27 points and 13 rebounds to log her second double-double of the season. She shot .647 from the floor (11-of-17) and went 5-for-6 from the charity stripe.

Two days later, the Moreno Valley, Calif., native drained 14 points to guide the Highlanders to a win over Cal Poly and hold on to second place in the conference with a 6-2 mark. She also tallied four rebounds and two blocks during the 67-55 victory.

For the week, Lott shot .629 from the floor and averaged 20.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per contest.

The UC Riverside Highlanders take a break from league play with a nonconference matchup at Cal State Bakersfield Saturday, Feb. 9. Tipoff is slated for 7:00 p.m.
