Robinson's Key Buckets In Pair Of Titan Road Wins Lead To Weekly Honors

Cal State Fullerton senior guard Frank Robinson (Los Angeles, Calif./East Carolina/Sylmar HS) provided clutch production to lead the Titans to two conference road wins and earn him Big West Men's Basketball Player of the Week accolades.
 
Robinson, a 6-4 guard, helped the Titans pull away from Long Beach State when he scored seven unanswered points and nine total in an 11-3 CSF run that opened up a 14-point lead at 69-55 with 12:37 to play.  Robinson finished with 18 points on 8 of 13 shooting in the 91-75 win, which snapped a CSF six-game losing streak to the 49ers.  
   
He also played an integral role in handing Cal State Northridge its first conference loss, posting a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds in the 80-72 affair.  Robinson tied the game at 68-68 with 4:14 to play and extended CSF's lead to four, 76-72, on a three-pointer with 50 seconds left.  He sank two free throws with 12 seconds left to seal the victory.
   
For the week, Robinson averaged 16.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists.  He made 47.8% (11 of 23) from the field and connected at a 77.8% (7 of 9) clip from the free throw line.
