Pacific posted back-to-back conference wins with the help of Janae Young's career-best performance and fourth double-double of the season, earning her Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week accolades. Young, picking up her first weekly honor of her career, is the second Tiger to receive such an honor this season. Redshirt junior Karen Dawkins picked up the first Tiger honor December 31.

The six-foot wing drained a career-best 19 points in the Tigers' 76-72 overtime win against Cal State Fullerton Thursday evening. Playing 34 minutes, Young shot .450 from the floor and pulled down seven rebounds. She followed up that performance with her fourth career double-double Saturday afternoon, scoring a game-high 17 points and grabbing 12 rebounds against the UC Irvine Anteaters.

The Sacramento, Calif., native, led the team with a .421 shooting percentage from the floor over the two games while hitting half of her three-point attempts and both of her free throws. Led by Young, the Tigers posted their first winning weekend in conference action since the 2003-04 season.

The Pacific Tigers carry their momentum to the central coast for Big West road contests against league-leading UC Santa Barbara (2/21) and Cal Poly (2/23). Pacific and UC Santa Barbara square-off Thursday at 7:00 p.m., while the Mustangs-Tigers showdown gets underway Saturday at 4:00 p.m.

Others nominated: Jessica Wilson (UCSB), Roney Friend (UCR), Kristina Santiago (CP), Jessica Campbell (UCD).
