Lifting UC Santa Barbara to a perfect 10-0 start to conference play with road victories over Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine and a career-best shooting performance earned Kat Suderman Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week accolades. She becomes the third Gaucho to receive the Big West's weekly honor this season.

The San Luis Obispo, Calif., native posted her first double-double of the season, third of her career, in Thursday's win over the Titans. She finished the game with 15 points and a season-best 11 rebounds in just 23 minutes of action.

Two days later, Suderman was no match for the Anteaters as she drained a season-high 22 points and produced a .786 field goal percentage (11-of-14) in the 77-69 win at UC Irvine. The 11 field goals made was also a new career mark for the 6-foot-four forward.

In just 22.5 minutes of action per outing, Suderman averaged 18.5 points and 6.0 rebounds to lead UC Santa Barbara to a 2-0 week.

UC Santa Barbara, riding a season-long 11-game win streak, hosts Cal State Bakersfield Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 7:00 p.m. Three days later, the Gauchos return to Big West play as they look to extend their best league start since the 2001-02 season when they host central coast rival Cal Poly at 2:00 p.m.

Others nominated: Lauren Chow (CSF), Karina Figueroa (LBSU), Kristina Santiago (CP), Haylee Donaghe (CP), Brittany Waddell (UCR).
