Long Beach State sophomore Kristen Kiefer (Mission Viejo, Calif./Capistrano Valley HS) led the 49ers to the program's first outright regular season league title with two goals and an assist in a pair of road wins, capturing Big West Women's Soccer Player of the Week honors.

Kiefer came up with a huge game-tying goal that enabled the 49ers to take their game with UC Santa Barbara into overtime and emerge with a 2-1 victory Friday.  She struck with just 1:02 remaining in regulation for her seventh goal of the year.

Against Cal Poly Sunday, Kiefer added a goal and an assist to her weekly totals.  She gave the 49ers a 2-1 lead with her eighth goal of the year.

Kiefer connected on her only two shots of the weekend.  She is tied for second on the team with eight goals and 18 points.

Others nominated: Tessa Lennala (UC Riverside); Kristina Wavomba (Pacific)
