Cal Poly midfielder Kyle Montgomery (Seattle, Wash./Blanchet HS) had an outstanding offensive performance in two key Mustang wins last week, netting him Big West Player of the Week honors.

The sophomore began his week with a three-assist performance in Cal Poly's wild 3-2 road win over UC Riverside. The trio of helpers tied the program single game record and gave him nine on the season, the second-best showing in Mustang single-season history.

Montgomery then decided to put the ball in the back of the net in his next match against #11 UC Davis. His goal just 22 seconds into the match gave the Mustangs a lead they would not relinquish in an eventual 2-0 win. The victory moved the club into first place with just one conference match remaining.

Others Nominated: Spencer Thompson, UC Irvine; Chris Pontius, UC Santa Barbara
