Chad Troyer (Seattle, Wash./Miami (OH)/Seatlle Prep) garnered Big West Men's Basketball Player of the Week accolades after a stellar perimeter performance led him to a career-high 27 points and the Tigers to a key road victory against UC Santa Barbara.
Troyer, a 6-4 forward, tied his career high for the third time as he knocked down six threes in Pacific's 71-58 triumph over the Gauchos, the preseason pick to win the conference. He scored 21 of his 27 points in the second half, hitting 4 of 4 three-point baskets in the final 20 minutes.
He also set career-highs in free throws made (7) and attempted (9), while adding three rebounds and two assists in 37 minutes of action.
Troyer is third in the Big West with 50 three-pointers made, an average of 2.63 made per game. This is the second straight week and the fourth time this season a Tiger has won the weekly award.
