Two Explosive Performances Earn Campbell Weekly Honors

Posting game-high points in both UC Davis contests last week earned Jessica Campbell Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week, for the week ending Dec. 23. This marks the first honor of her career and the second accolade of the season for UC Davis.

Anna Harp picked up the Aggies' first award back on November 19. In the Aggies' win over Saint Mary's, the 5-11 senior drained 28 points and shot an impressive .706 from the floor (12-of-17). Campbell also collected nine rebounds and four assists.

Later in the week Campbell recorded her second consecutive 20-point game for the first time in her Aggie career with a game-high 29 points versus San Francisco, 22 of which were scored in the second half. Her 29 point performance was just one shy of her career-best of 30 points. The San Marcos, Calif., native added six rebounds to her weekly total.

For the week, she registered a .677 field goal percentage and averaged 28.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per contest. Campbell, who has moved into the 10th spot on the program's all-time scoring list, also proved successful at the charity stripe, firing a .857 clip (12-14).

The Aggies resume action Friday, Dec. 28 when the visit Bradley for the first time in school history. Tipoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. (PST).
