Long Beach State junior forward Kim Silos (Ontario, Calif./Don Lugo HS) garnered Big West Women's Soccer Player of the Week honors, tallying a goal and two assists in two wins to help the 49ers claim a share of the conference regular season championship.

After being shutout on the stat sheet in LBSU's 1-0 loss to UC Irvine on Tuesday, Silos stepped up in the clutch as the 49ers needed wins against Cal Poly and UC Santa Barbara to clinch their second consecutive Big West co-title.  She produced her eighth assist of the year on a corner kick in the 11th minute of LBSU's 3-1 victory against the Mustangs.  Silos' offering led to the team's 33rd goal of the season, setting a season scoring record in the process.

Silos continued to be involved in the offense in a 2-1 win versus UC Santa Barbara on Sunday.  Silos unlocked a scoreless tie with her seventh goal of the season just 45 seconds into the second half, which would have been the game-winner had the Gauchos not scored with only 40 ticks left in the game.  Instead, Silos settled for the game-winning assist as she set up teammate Sahar Haghdan for the winning score at the 60:02 mark.  That was her ninth assist of the year, which matched her total last year and tied for the third-most all-time in a season at Long Beach State.

Others nominated: Danielle de Seriere, UC Irvine
