Career-best performances by Pacific's Kara Uhl led Pacific to a tournament championship and earned her the final Big West Player of the Week award for the 2007 season. This marks the first weekly honor for the 6-0 outside hitter, and second of the year for Pacific. Johanna Hilbers picked up the Tigers' first accolade back on October 1.

In the first match of the 29th Annual Community Bankers Classic, Uhl posted a career-best six service aces, while tallying 13 kills and 12 digs for her first of two double-doubles over the weekend. The Cypress, Calif., native also fired a .235 hitting percentage to guide Pacific to a 3-0 victory over Fresno State.

In the championship match with Cincinnati, Uhl set a Pacific record for most attempts at 93, besting the mark of 92 swings set by Elsa Stegemann in 1999. Her career-high 38 kills and 11 digs earned her back-to-back double-doubles. In the 3-2 win over the Bearcats, Uhl collected three aces and three total blocks.

For the week, the tournament’s most valuable player averaged 6.4 kills and 2.9 digs per game and registered a .236 hitting percentage.

Others nominated: Brittany Moore (CSF), Angela Hupp (CSUN), Alexis Crimes (LBSU).
