The third weekend of women’s volleyball conference play begins tonight, with every Big West program making an appearance on the BigWest.TV schedule.  With just a half-game separating the top five teams in the standings, the battle for the title is tight, making every match critical.  Friday night’s matches include 2006 Big West Champion Cal Poly hosting Cal State Fullerton, UC Irvine taking on upstart Pacific, and UC Riverside facing off against UC Davis.

 

Saturday sees four matches on tap, beginning with Long Beach State 49ers welcoming Cal State Northridge to the Walter Pyramid.  Northern California members UC Davis and Pacific will face each other’s Friday night opponents, as the Aggies head to Irvine and the Tigers travel north to Riverside .  Cal State Fullerton will travel down the coast to Santa Barbara to challenge the Gauchos in the fourth match of the night.

 

All matches this weekend are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. PDT.
