UC Riverside junior forward Tessa Lennala (Temecula, Calif./Chaparral HS) and UC Irvine freshman forward Tanya Taylor (Buena Park, Calif./Sunny Hills HS) garnered Big West Women's Soccer Co-Player of the Week accolades after standout offensive performances.

Lennala helped UCR to a win and tie for the week.  The Highlanders preserved a 1-1 draw against Pacific thanks to a Lennala goal at the 35:03 mark, taking advantage of a Tiger miscue in the box.  Lennala peppered the defense with nine of UCR's 14 shots, including four on frame.

With another tie imminent on Sunday against UC Davis, Lennala provided the heroics to lead UCR to the victory.  Lennala tallied her team and Big West leading eighth goal with barely two and a half minutes left in the game to unlock a 1-1 tie.  She slipped a shot from 11 yards out just inside the left post at 107:33.

Taylor led the Anteaters to their first Big West victory and first goal against a league foe in nearly two years.  She scored both goals in UCI's 2-1 win Sunday versus UC Santa Barbara, including the game-winner just 46 seconds into the second half.  Taylor moved into a tie for first place on the team with 11 points.  The Anteaters had not won a Big West game since defeating Long Beach State on Oct. 23, 2005.

Others nominated: Carrie Andrews, Cal Poly; Brianna Buffington, Cal State Fullerton; Kristy Krohn, Cal State Northridge
