Cal State Fullerton's Karen Bardsley Garners Big West Women's Soccer Player of the Week Award

Cal State Fullerton senior Karen Bardsley (Chino Hills, CA/Ayala HS) earned Big West Women's Soccer Player of the Week honors after her selection as the Co-MVP of the 12th annual California Invitational.

The 6-0 goalkeeper helped the Titans to the co-championship of the event, making a combined 18 saves and recording her 20th career shutout as part of a stellar weekend.

Bardsley made 10 saves in CSF's 2-1 win versus Saint Mary's on Friday, including four saves in the final 11 minutes of the match. She collected her second shutout of the season (and 20th of her career) in a 0-0 double overtime tie with host and 10th-ranked California on Sunday. Bardsley logged another eight saves against the Bears while playing all 110 minutes. For the week, she posted a 0.45 goals against average.

Bardsley set a new career record for minutes played in net during the second half versus Saint Mary's and owns first place with 4,654 minutes played.
