Pacific junior goalkeeper Jaime Souza (Gig Harbor, WA/Gig Harbor HS) was selected Big West Women's Soccer Player of the Week as she posted her fifth and school record sixth consecutive shutouts at the Four Points Sheraton Cats Classic.

Souza, who was honored as the tournament's Defensive Most Valuable Player, was in net for all 200 minutes of the Tigers' 0-0 double overtime tie versus Hawai'i and 1-0 victory over Gonzaga. Souza faced a total of 14 shots over the two matches, five of which were on frame, and saved all five successfully.

The Tigers ran their unbeaten streak to six straight games to start the season and have still not allowed a goal. The six straight shutouts for Souza covers a span of 576 minutes and 58 seconds. Pacific's previous record of five shutouts in a row was set during the 1999 season.

Souza now stands third all-time in Pacific history with 12 shutouts. This is her first career Big West Player of the Week honor.
