UC Santa Barbara's Mike Powers and Long Beach State's Nicole Blalock were named Athletes of the Week after their performances at the Titan Invitatiional.
Powers, a senior from Anaheim, Calif., finished second in the men's 8K race with a time of 26:22. He paced four Gaucho runners in the top 10 and led the squad to the overall title.
Blalock, a senior from Orange, Calif., was the top collegian and Big West finisher at the Titan Invitational after completing the 5K course in 18:21. Her time was good for fourth in a field of 109 competitors.
