UC Irvine junior Brad Evans scored two goals versus Cal State Northridge to keep the Anteaters hopes of a conference title alive.
UC Irvine forward Brad Evans (Phoenix, AZ/Mountain Pointe HS) was named the Big West Player of the Week for the second straight week after leading the 14th-ranked Anteaters to first place in the Big West.
The senior tallied a goal in two conference wins over Cal State Fullerton and Cal Poly to lead UCI to the top spot in the Big West standings. Evans' goals were both key tallies as he tied the match against the Titans and provided the game-winner against the Mustangs, his school-record ninth career game-winning goal.
Evans moved into third all-time at UC Irvine with 66 career points, tied for 6th in Big West history with 28 goals and moved into 4th all-time in the conference with nine game-winning goals.
This also marks the second time in conference history that one school has garnered Player of the Week honors in four consecutive weeks. UC Santa Barbara accomplished the feat in 2004.
