Junior Arron Craggs (Yorkshire, England/Judson (IL) College) enabled Cal State Fullerton to emerge from a season-long scoring slump with his first two collegiate goals, a performance that earned him the Big West Men’s Soccer Player of the Week award.
Craggs scored his second goal of the match 2:31 into overtime for the game-winner in the Titans’ 3-2 victory against Air Force on Friday. He dribbled in from the left flank, passed to Jose Barragan and knocked home a return pass for a golden goal. The score gave the Titans their first win of 2005.
In the 33rd minute, Craggs gave CSF a 2-1 lead with his first goal on a breakaway.
The Titans had scored just two goals (one an own goal) in their previous five matches, an output that Craggs matched in one outing alone.
This is the first career Player of the Week award for Craggs.
