Long Beach State senior Lauren Johnson (Norwalk, CA/Cerritos HS) and Pacific senior Michelle Anunciation (Chino Hills, CA/Diamond Bar HS) earned Big West Co-Player of the Week honors after providing key hits to lead their teams to success.

Johnson batted .400 (6-for-15) with four runs scored and eight RBI at the plate as the 49ers posted a 3-2 record at the Stanford Invitational. She powered LBSU to a pair of victories on the first day of the tournament. In the opener versus Kentucky, the center fielder went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in the 5-0 win. In a 4-3 come-from-behind win over DePaul in the second game, Johnson nailed a two-run homer with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to force extra innings. Johnson finished that game going 2-for-4 with two home runs, two runs scored and three RBI.

Anunciation garnered Co-Player of the Week honors for the second week in a row after helping the Tigers to a doubleheader sweep of San Jose State, after trailing in both games. The shortstop went 3-for-4 in the first game and scored three times, including twice on a pair of two-run homers as Pacific rebounded from a 2-1 deficit in a 6-3 victory. In the nightcap, Pacific trailed 2-1 in the seventh inning and was down to its last strike with two outs. Anunciation delivered a game-tying RBI double and then scored the game-winning run later in the inning in the 3-2 win. Each of her seven RBI this season have come in two-out situations. Anunciation hit .625 (5-for-8) with a double, four runs scored and two RBI for the week.

Cal Poly freshman Robyn Kontra (Valencia, CA/Hart HS) earned her first career Big West Pitcher of the Week award following two solid performances at the Stanford Invitational that resulted in Mustang wins over San Diego State and Kentucky.

Against the previously undefeated Aztecs, the righty tossed seven innings, allowing just one earned run on six hits, while striking out two in a 5-1 triumph. In the Kentucky game, Kontra threw another complete game gem, allowing one run on only one hit while striking out eight Wildcats.

For the week, Kontra went 2-0 with a 1.00 ERA. She struck out 10 and walked just two batters in 14.0 innings of work.
