Cal State Fullerton junior Bobby Brown (Los Angeles, CA/Westchester HS) was selected Big West Men's Basketball Player of the Week after coming up with several key baskets in his team's road victory against San Jose State last Wednesday. He also recorded his season's scoring high and equalled his career rebound high in the contest.

Brown's 24 points, seven rebounds and three assists in 38 minutes of play led the Titans to the 67-59 win over the Spartans. He added a pair of steals and a block. The 6-1 guard also knocked down 7 of 12 shots, including 4 of 7 from three-point territory. He was solid at the free throw line as well, making 6 of 7 attempts.

Brown sliced the Titan halftime deficit to just two points with a 30-foot basket at the buzzer. The Titans pulled ahead with a 16-9 run to open the second stanza with Brown accounting for eight of those points - six unanswered - as his team would not trail again. The Spartans narrowed their deficit from 14 points to six in the final three minutes, but Brown stepped up again, hitting a free throw and a running bank shot to increase the lead to nine.
