A total of 95 student-athletes from eight member institutions earned Academic All-Big West Conference honors for the fall sports of women's volleyball, men's and women's soccer, and men's and women's cross country today. To be eligible for the All-Academic team, student-athletes have to maintain a 3.2 cumulative grade point average, complete one full academic year at the member institution prior to the season for which the award is being received (at least a sophomore academically) and compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.
Women's soccer had the most representation with the honoring of 30 student-athletes, while women's cross country was second with 23. Women's volleyball had 19 honorees , men's soccer had 13 and men's cross country had 10.
Long Beach State led all schools with 16 all-academic honorees, including six apiece in women's volleyball and women's soccer. UC Santa Barbara compiled the second-most honorees with 15 while UC Irvine and Pacific tied with 14. Cal State Fullerton and UC Riverside each had 10 all-academic recipients, and Cal Poly and Cal State Northridge posted eight apiece.
