Pacific senior Ashley Groothuis (Aurora, NE/Aurora HS) was selected Big West Women's Volleyball Player of the Week after posting back-to-back double-doubles in two Tiger wins, helping move her team near the top of the league standings.

The 6-1 outside hitter hit .338 (39-13-77) for the week with 6.50 kills, 3.83 digs and 1.00 services aces per game in Pacific's victories over UC Davis and UC Irvine.

Against the Aggies, Groothuis had a team-high 13 kills and added 12 digs in the 3-0 sweep. She hit .276 (13-5-29 for the contest.

Groothuis missed her career-high by one kill when she pounded 26 kills against the Anteaters. She also contributed a career-high five service aces and her 11 digs racked up her seventh double-double of the season. Groothuis swung at a .375 (26-8-48 clip) to once again lead the team in putaways. She helped set the tone with nine of her 26 kills in a 35-33 game one win.
