Utah State senior Spencer Nelson (Pocatello, ID/Pocatello HS) sparked his team to lopsided road victories against UC Irvine and Long Beach State as the Aggies extended their winning streak to four straight games. He earned his second Big West Player of the Week award this season and the fourth of his career for his efforts.

Utah State senior Spencer Nelson (Pocatello, ID/Pocatello HS) sparked his team to lopsided road victories against UC Irvine and Long Beach State as the Aggies extended their winning streak to four straight games. He earned his second Big West Player of the Week award this season and the fourth of his career for his efforts.

Nelson poured in a game-high 25 points with seven rebounds, a block and a steal as USU cruised to a 77-52 win over UCI. He scored 18 second half points as the Aggies broke away following just a five-point lead at halftime. He made 10-of-12 shots from the field in just 26 minutes.

In a 75-44 win over Long Beach State, Nelson approached a triple-double in only 23 minutes of floor time. He finished with 11 points, eight rebounds and eight assists with all of his assists coming in the first half alone. Nelson was 4-of-6 from the field while recording a block and a steal against the 49ers.
