Idaho's Emily Faurholt is creeping back to the top of the Big West season scoring ranks with 20.4 points per game.
Idaho junior Emily Faurholt (Kennewick, Wash./Kennewick HS) was already a shoe-in for the Big West record books after last season's national-high scoring performance, but the 5-11 post hit on a huge career milestone last week — and locked down her first Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor of the season — by nailing her 1,000th career point during the Vandals' win over Pacific. She got to do it on her home court, as well, following up a 24-point performance against Cal Poly with Saturday night's 28-point explosion that propelled her into the 1,000-point club with 1,022 points ... and counting.
It took Faurholt just 43 games to hit the mark, tying her as the ninth fastest in NCAA history.
