Long Beach State's Cervenka, Pacific's Dacre Tough In The Circle

Long Beach State junior Meredith Cervenka (La Crescenta, CA/Crescenta Valley HS) and Pacific's Jennifer Dacre (Elk Grove, CA/Elk Grove HS) were recognized as Big West Co-Pitchers of the Week as both hurlers kept their teams rolling along at the top of the conference standings.

Cervenka threw her second consecutive no-hitter, shutting down Dartmouth on Thursday in a 1-0 victory in eight innings. The right-hander tied her career high and the school's single-game record with 13 strikeouts. In her previous outing on Mar. 20, Cervenka threw a perfect game against Iowa. She now has thrown 26.0 consecutive scoreless innings. LBSU is 29-7 on the year.

Dacre went 2-1 with a 0.46 ERA in three appearances for Pacific. The right-hander pitched 3.1 scoreless innings and allowed four hits in a 8-0 run-rule victory over Ohio State on Wednesday. She tossed a three-hit shutout, walking three and striking out six in a 1-0 victory over Nevada on Friday. In a 2-1 loss to Sacramento State, Dacre yielded just one earned run in 5.0 innings and fanned three. For the week, Dacre walked five and fanned 10 in 15.1 innings of work, as Pacific improved to 21-9.
