UC Irvine senior outside hitter Kelly Wing (Murrieta, Calif./Murrieta HS) tallied her seventh Big West Women’s Volleyball Player honor and second this season after notching her 12th double-double of the year for the Anteaters last week.
Wing’s 34 kills against Cal State Northridge was her second-highest mark of the season and was effective in pulling the Anteaters out of two eight-point deficits during the match, which UC Irvine won in five games. She also added 11 digs to complete her 12th double-double, and tied her season high with three block assists against the Matadors.
The previous night against Pacific, Wing had a match-high 19 kills in the Anteaters’ three-game loss.
