UTAH STATE’S CARTWRIGHT-DAVIS PROVIDES SPARK

Utah State middle blocker Erin Cartwright-Davis (Hyrum, UT/Salt Lake CC) received Big West Player of the Week accolades as she played an instrumental role in victories over Cal State Fullerton and UC Riverside.

Cartwright-Davis, a 6-0 senior, propelled the Aggies to victory with strong offensive performances. She recorded a career-high 33 kills and hit .338 (33-11-65) in a five-game win over Cal State Fullerton on Thursday. She added a career-high 25 digs in the effort. In a sweep of UC Riverside, Cartwright-Davis contributed 17 kills with only one error in 24 attempts for a career-high .667 hitting percentage. She also tallied eight digs and three blocks against the Highlanders.

For the week, Cartwright-Davis averaged 6.25 kills, 4.12 digs and 0.50 blocks per game while hitting a blistering .427 (50-12-89). She ranks in the Big West top 10 in hitting percentage, blocks per game and kills per game.
