  • UC Santa Barbara's Justin Trimble slashed .455/.538/1.091 with two home runs in a series win at Sacramento State to earn The Big West Field Player of the Week honor. It is the first career weekly honor for Trimble. 

  • The junior went 2-for-3 with hit a two-run home run in the first game on Friday. 

  • In game two on Saturday, the Gaucho infielder went 2-for-5 with 2 RBI as UC Santa Barbara prevailed 9-1. 

  • The Arroyo Grande, Calif. product had a two-run home run as the Gauhos secured the series with a 12-0 shutout win on Sunday. 

  • UC Santa Barbara is 3-3 to start the 2024 season. Trimble is currently hitting .333 with three home runs, four runs and six RBI.
