  • UC San Diego guard Bryce Pope averaged 21.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game in two wins to earn The Big West Player of the Week award. It is the second time a Triton has won the weekly honor this season after Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones claimed the accolade on Nov. 13. It is Pope's first career Player of the Week award. 

  • The senior shot a combined 46.9 percent (15-of-32) from the field, 50 percent (6-of-12) from behind the arc and 87.5 percent (7-of-8) from the charity stripe in the two victories.

  • The San Diego native scored a game-high 26 points with three rebounds and two assists in Thursday’s 88-74 home victory over Long Beach State for the Tritons. It was UC San Diego's first-ever home win over Long Beach State in program history. 

  • On Saturday, the Triton guard compiled 17 points, on 7-of-13 shooting, with three rebounds, two assists and two steals in an 86-61 road win over Cal Poly.

  • UC San Diego is currently 11-6 overall and tied for first in The Big West with an unblemished 5-0 conference record. Pope is averaging a conference fourth-best 18.7 points per game to go with 4.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steals per game.
