UC Davis guard Tova Sabel led the Aggies to a perfect 2-0 week to claim Big West Player of the Week for a third-career time. Sabel was twice honored during the 2022-23 season (Dec. 26; March 5).

The senior dropped a team-high 16 points apiece in home victories over UC Riverside and UC Irvine. Sabel was extremely efficient, going 11-of-18 from the floor over the two contests while shooting 50% (5-of-10) from three-point range and enjoying a 5-of-6 effort from the free throw line. Sabel has now scored in double-digits in seven straight games.

In Thursday’s win against the Highlanders, the native of Stockholm, Sweden also added five rebounds and two assists along with the 16 points. Sable again finished with five rebounds to go along with four assists in Saturday’s three-point victory over the Anteaters, televised on Spectrum SportsNet.

Sabel is currently in the top 10 in The Big West in multiple categories, including scoring (14.3 ppg – 6th), field goal percentage (.411 - 7th) and three-point field goals per game (2.6 - 3rd).
