  • A career-high effort for Cal State Fullerton’s Gabi Vidmar earned the guard Big West Player of the Week for Dec. 18. The honor is the second career weekly award, also staking claim to honors Dec. 5, 2022.  

  • The native of Adelaide, Australia, scored a new career-best 29 points on Saturday in a 73-68 loss against an undefeated CBU Lancers team on the road.  

  • Vidmar was 10-for-18 from the floor and finished 4-for-9 from beyond the arc, with a perfect 5-for-5 outing from the free throw line.  

  • Nearly pulling off the Titans’ comeback, Vidmar scored 21 points in the second half after Cal State Fullerton was down by as many as 16 points in the third quarter. 72.4 percent of Vidmar’s points were in the final two frames, where the senior accounted for over half of the Titans’ second-half scoring. Vidmar splashed a three with 3:58 to play to bring the team within two of the Lancers’ lead. 

  • Vidmar is currently averaging 12.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game – good for Top 20 status in The Big West. Connecting on 40.0 percent from three-point range (16-for-40), Vidmar is fourth in the league.
