Cal State Fullerton’s Tegan Andrews earned a first collegiate win to claim Big West Golfer of the Month for October. The award is a first for the senior from Agoura Hills, Calif.

Andrews competed at the Bill Cullum Invitational October 9-10, finishing in a tie for seventh to help the Titans to the team victory. Cal State Fullerton compiled a tournament-best 6-under 282 in the final round to jump up four spots in the team standings to win by six strokes.

Andrews rolled in 14 birdies and an eagle, playing the Par 5s at seven under on the week to lead the field in scoring average on the long-distance holes at 4.42.

Then, Andrews carded a three-round tally of 14-under 202 to claim individual medalist honors at the Visit Stockton Invitational, held at The Reserve at Spanos Park Oct. 16-18. The final-round 63 rocketed the Agoura Hills, Calif., native up from a tie for 14th to start the round to the top of the leaderboard. The 63 is also a career-best for Andrews.
