  • UC Irvine's Francesco Montanile recorded two assists in a 3-1 win against UC San Diego to claim the Offensive Player of the Week award. 

  • On Saturday, the junior set up the first two goals to put the Anteaters up by two. 

  • Montanile now has a team-leading four assists on the season.  

  • With the win, UC Irvine improved to 8-6-3 overall and 5-3-1 in conference play to finish the regular season. The Anteaters earned the No. 2 seed and will host the semifinal-round of The Big West Men's Soccer Championship on Saturday, Nov. 4 against the winner of UC Santa Barbara and UC Riverside.
