Hawai’i senior Amber Igiede was dominant in a pair of sweeps for the Rainbow Wahine to claim Big West Offensive Player of the Week honors. This is Igiede’s third such award of the season, and a sixth career weekly offensive nod.

In Friday’s match against Cal State Bakersfield, Igiede put down a match-high 12 kills with just one error in 25 attacks to hit .440. In the first set, Igiede pounded seven kills as UH raced to the 25-8 decision in the frame. The middle blocker also posted five total blocks, two solo, with five digs and an assist.

Igiede pounded a match-high 13 kills against CSUN, committing zero errors on 18 swings for a season-high .722 hitting percentage. The Baton Rouge, La., native added three digs, a block and an assist in UH's shortest match of the season which clocked in at 79 minutes.

Igiede moved up in the UH record books to No. 17 in career kills with 1,120. Tallying 460 career blocks, Igiede is 10th in NCAA Division I in total blocks and blocks per set (1.26).
