  • Senior Amber Igiede reached a career milestone while leading Hawai’i to a pair of wins against USC to claim a second-straight Big West Offensive Player of the Week award. Igiede has now amassed eight career Big West weekly honors, five of which are of the offensive variety.

  • In Thursday’s five-set win over USC, the middle blocker recorded team-highs with 16 kills, while hitting .367, with eight total blocks, including one solo. Igiede also had seven digs and one service ace to close the match with 21.5 points, the 14th career 20-plus point outing.

  • On Saturday, Igiede put down a team-best 15 kills with just one error to hit a match-high .609 (15-1-23) in the four-setter. The Baton Rouge, La., native added three service aces, six digs and two blocks in front of 7,282 fans.

  • Igiede put down her 1,000th career kill in the third set of Saturday’s match. The reigning Big West Player of the Year is the first UH player since McKenna Granto to hit the 1K milestone (2018), and the 21st Rainbow Wahine in program history to record a four-digit career kill tally.
