CSUN senior Eirik Thomassen capped the month with a win at the UC San Diego Invitational to earn a first career Big West Golfer of the Month award.

Held at the prestigious Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, Calif., Thomassen shot a CSUN record 20-under 196 (68-63-65) to outpace the field of 83 golfers by six strokes and lead the Matadors to a third-place team finish. Thomassen carded two eagles in the 54-hole event including a hole-in-one on the 202-yard par 3 15th hole.
