• CSUN's David Phillips, Jr. won one event and ran two lifetime-bests at the West Coast Relays to earn The Big West Track Athlete of the Week accolade. Phillips, Jr. is a first-time weekly honoree.
• The junior won the 100 with a time of 10.32, the leading time in The Big West, 21st fastest in the region and 42nd nationally so far this season.
• Phillips also ran a personal-best in the 200 and took runner-up with a 20.78 performance. The mark is currently the fastest in the conference.
• Phillips ran the anchor leg of the Matador 4x100 relay team that reset the school record and win the event with a time of 39.68. It is the fastest time in The Big West, 11th in the region and 21st in the nation.
