• Long Beach State sophomore attacker Martina Cardona scored three goals to win The Big West Women's Water Polo Player of the Week award. Clague is a first-time weekly honoree.
• The sophomore completed the hat trick on just four shots, and also recorded an assist, steal, and was 2-0 in sprints in a 14-8 victory over UC San Diego in a conference matchup.
• Long Beach State is currently 11-4 overall, 1-0 in conference play, and rated seventh in the latest CWPA rankings. Cardona has 29 goals and 13 assists on the season so far.
